What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
It might sound cliché, but some of my favorite memories are from the Yeshiva-Academy games, Torah Bowl, the infamous chimney episode, and the mercury fiasco. I also have great memories of the Camp Chi Shabbaton, the ski trip, and so many other amazing moments. Honestly, the list could go on forever!
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
As an out-of-towner, it was easy to feel isolated, but the Yeshiva always made an effort to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, especially for us dormers. I created a lot of bonds with my fellow dormers because. The lesson was to be sensitive to the dormers' loneliness. I always appreciated being welcomed into local communities on off Shabboses
Advice for Current Students:
If I could give any advice to current students, it would be this: work hard and don’t take the easy way out. The only way to truly grow—whether in Limudei Kodesh, Limudei Chol, or sports—is to put in the effort. When I first started high school, I tried to take shortcuts, but I learned quickly that hard work pays off. By the time I graduated, I had put in the effort and ended up getting into a great yeshiva after high school, KBY.
