What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
I was a dormer and Shabbos in the dorms was so special, like the kumzitzes. I also loved the cholent on Thursday nights after Rabbi Zimmerman’s shiur. I loved intramural softball & football. I also have some more wild stories that we can't publish, like the kid jumping out of the window during class. We did a lot of fun and wild stuff in the dorms. I learned a lot from Mr. Passman and took a lot of classes with him. I appreciated his humor and the banter that he had with us. I also loved all my rebbeim!
Fun fact - Rabbi Ginsparg is now my niece’s principal!
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
The Rebbeim gave us a lot of freedom to grow in high school. The memories and friendships that I made were everlasting. While I had some rocky times in high school, the rebbeim & dorm counselors were really there for me. I have so much gratitude for them. I am who I am today because of them.
Advice for current students:
The education you are getting is much better than you realize. Embrace the memories that you make.
