Married with a first kid on the way
What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
The class trips were so special with great bonding. We had a big mix of guys and everyone got along. Senior year, we raised so much that we got to go to Gatlinburg, a shabbaton at Chi, a shabbaton in Israel, and make a donation to the Yeshiva!
Playing on the basketball team was really fun. To travel with the guys was exciting.
The late night mishmar was great with Rabbi Yoni Fox. Rabbi Zimmerman’s late night shiur with cholent was such an awesome program. So many guys learning late in the beis.
One erev Shabbos I was playing football and smashed heads with someone. The dormers were looking for his teeth in the snow!
My greatest accomplishment was I won my intramurals football and softball leagues on the same day! So many great memories.
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Rabbi Segal would always says two things - כבדהו וחשדהו, honor and respect every situation, and know what you know and know what you don't know. He was so calm and never lost his temper with us.
Advice for current students:
Play in all the leagues, play sports, invite the dormers over. Take advantage of the fun times. Grades don't really matter, it's about enjoying the times, make friends, make memories, learn and grow.
