What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

I have so many amazing memories from my time at FYHS. One of the things that stands out most was how close our class was. We genuinely enjoyed being around each other, and even after long days in Yeshiva, nobody wanted to leave. There was always something going on — intramurals, sports, hanging out in the dorms, and just enjoying the atmosphere together. It created a really special environment that made school feel like much more than just classes and learning.

Hosting dormers for Shabbos was also a major highlight for me. Those Shabbosim created friendships and memories that I still look back on fondly today. There was such a strong sense of camaraderie and community, and it made the experience feel like a family.

Our senior prank is definitely another memory that still makes me laugh. On Lag B’Omer, we filled cars with water balloons and spent the day pelting students. It was all in good fun and became one of those unforgettable moments that our class still talks about years later.

I also really appreciated the strong connection I built with Rabbi Ginsparg throughout my time there. Having rebbeim and mentors who genuinely cared about the students made a tremendous impact on me, both during Yeshiva and afterward.

Looking back, I realize the Yeshiva gave me a strong foundation in learning, discipline, and values that stayed with me long after graduation. Sometimes you do not fully appreciate what you are receiving until years later.

Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

One important lesson I took away from my experience is that growth is not always measured by where you are placed at the moment. While I was in Yeshiva, I was consistently in the lower shiurim, and at the time I probably underestimated how much I was gaining. However, when I later attended Mevaseret, I was placed in the highest shiur. That experience really opened my eyes to how well the Yeshiva had prepared me academically and personally.

Advice for current students:

My advice to current students would be to focus on the bigger picture and appreciate the experience while you are there. The Yeshiva is not only preparing you academically — it is shaping the kind of person you will become. The values, friendships, and life lessons you gain there stay with you well beyond graduation.

I would also say to take advantage of the relationships with rebbeim and classmates. Many of the friendships I built during those years are still an important part of my life today, and I remain in contact with many classmates.

Looking back now, I can honestly say I am very grateful that I attended the Yeshiva and that I had the opportunity to be part of such a special environment.
