Married with 5 kids
What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
I had a unique experience because my mother worked in the office and I got away with everything. I once went to Village Crossing. One of the rabbis caught us. I got sent to my mother. I then realized I had a nice advantage over the other guys!
I once fell asleep in Rabbi Rand's shiur and he poured water on me.
I also have fond memories of sweeping Ida Crown! Great energy.
Skokie was almost like a frat, an exclusive group of guys. There is a connection everyone has that remains to this day.
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Anyone from the Yeshiva is connected. Whenever I meet people who went to the Yeshiva, there is a connection and a vibe. You feel like you are part of a unique group.
I also remember Rabbi Ginsparg preaching to be good to other people when he was promoting Od Yosef Chai. Don't worry about what the world has to say.
Advice for current students:
Take in the experience and don't overthink what you are doing. Stay connected with the Rebbeim, they are there to support you. I know I can call Rabbi Schuman and he would pick up at any moment.
