What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Dorm life was the highlight of my experience. I learned a lot about myself, and I grew a lot. The social scene was special. I learned how to live on my own, manage my finances, and do my own laundry.
I was in Rabbi Schechter's shiur during my Junior year and started to enjoy learning. That was a pivotal point in my life that I continue to carry with me to this day. I owe him a lot of credit for that.
I loved the in-Shabbat. I loved being in the Yeshiva setting with my friends. The chevra was so special.
Many rebbein played roles in my development, but the overall camaraderie was life-changing.
The Yamim Noraim Tefillot were so special. I really enjoyed them and was moved by them. Even though I'm Yemenite, I loved the Ashkenazi tunes!
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
I enjoyed my time there very much. I loved the ruach, and everyone should take advantage of that. Be active!
Advice for current students:
Appreciate and value the resources that the Yeshiva offers us. Don't take them for granted and tap into everything. The Rebbeim, staff, dorm counselors, all have a lot to offer. Those four years in High School are pivotal for your future. Take it all in. Don't sit on the sidelines.
