What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
My senior year, I got to be part of working on the yearbook and our senior trip. It was a great chance to develop closer relationships with many guys in my class, including those I hadn't had much to do with until then.
I was close with both Rabbi Haskel and Rabbi Ginsparg. I'm in touch a bit with each of them. They both gave me the sense that I had potential and communicated that to me. I realized it wasn't easy for them to see it and appreciate that they did it.
I also enjoyed going to Rabbi Rand's Shabbos Gemara shiur – that was a big part of my Shabbos nights/afternoons throughout high school.
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
We had a very broad class with diverse backgrounds. By the time we got to senior year, we had a strong sense of connection, and it was very unique to have such a group of guys come together like that. I recall it being very special. The Yeshiva was an environment that cultivated that.
Advice for current students:
Don't close off any doors before you go to Yeshiva. Go learn and get your priorities in order.
