What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
The Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur davening at the Yeshiva stands out as a special memory. Also Torah Bowl Shabbos at the Yeshiva was always a lot of fun. Each of my Rebbeim was unique and the learning (especially development of Gemara skills) was definitely a highlight. And of course playing on the basketball team and the softball league. Great times and just so many overall positive and unforgettable experiences and memories.
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Maintain proper balance in life and don’t be too extreme. The Yeshiva taught us how to work hard and be serious at the same time as having fun. Whether balancing לימודי קודש with לימודי חול or school classes with sports and extracurricular activities, an important takeaway was to always find the proper balance in life.
Advice for current students:
Invest in your relationships with your Rebbeim and your high school chevra. And stay connected after you graduate. Your high school Rebbeim and friendships are unique and the bonds last forever!
