Graduating Year: 2006
Current Location: Chicago, IL
Profession: I’m a Financial Advisor and also have the opportunity to spend my mornings learning in a Kollel at Mikor HaChaim
Tell us a little bit about your family:Â
Married with 4 kids
What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Most times I think of the Yeshiva I think of Rabbi Weiss as I had him all 4 years in high school. I learned both Math and Torah from him, he was a true genius. I also have fond memories of Rabbi Wender. I liked my principal!
Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:
Skokie allowed you to be who you are as there was such a wide spectrum of different people among the students and staff. They gave you the space to carve out the person that you want to be and build yourself up. Everyone really had their own space and I really appreciated that.
Advice for current students:
I would say don’t rush. There is no need to finish things quickly. Take the time to figure out who you want to be and use the right resources to make the right decisions.
Anything else to share:
Don’t limit yourself. I never thought I would dedicate 3-4 hours daily to learning Torah. You have more potential than you realize.
