Graduating Year: 1999

Current Location: Yad Binyamin, Israel

Tell us a little bit about your family: Married with 6 kids

Profession: I teach in Shaalvim and am dayan for Eretz Chemdah

What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

The guys from my class were such great guys. I have so many strong friendships.

When I was in 11th and 12th grade, I wasn't in the highest shiur, but I had a great connection with Rabbi Rand. He was so caring and pushed me. B"h many years later, I was able to pass the dayanus tests for Eretz Chemdah, which were extremely difficult.

The Rebbeim in general were all supportive.

My senior year, the basketball was incredible and we almost never lost. It was so much fun.

Our senior class trip was changed from NY to Wisconsin because we got in a bit of trouble. We didn't really care as we just loved hanging out and spending time together. We also had the infamous chimney strike happen, which was wild times.

Before Rosh Chodesh Adar, we had gathered up street signs and planned to reroute traffic through the Yeshiva parking lot. Luckily for us, the chimney strike happened and canceled those plans, which was probably for the best!

Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

I didn't push myself so much in high school. If I had seen where I am now, having accomplished so much in my learning, I would be surprised. I think people have a lot more potential. So it's good to push yourself and realize your potential!

Advice for current students:

Appreciate your rebbeim. Some guys don't care so much in High School, but think that 10 years from now you should think about how you will feel about it. Do I want to do more with my time? As I said, push yourself!
