Graduating Year: 2001

Current Location: Skokie, IL

Tell us a little bit about your family: Married with 2 kids

Profession: I am a Lawyer. I also ran for mayor of Skokie (sadly, I didn't win). I am still involved in politics. I help Jewish communities around Chicago, including helping them get involved in the chamber of commerce and bridging the communities. I'm also creating software with the Agudah to keep track of registered voters and outreach.

What is your favorite memory/(memories) from FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

I loved the really fun ski trip, and I always look back on that fondly. Yamim Noraim was very special.  I loved hanging out with Walter Richman in the kitchen.

I enjoyed Mr. Passman’s classes and now get to enjoy davening with him at Skokie Valley every week. I enjoy seeing Rabbi Haskel and Rabbi Polstein around town and am always greeted warmly.

Please share a lesson/takeaway from your time at FYHS/HTC/Kayitz:

I started at Telshe and then transferred to the Yeshiva. It was a 180 from what I had previously experienced. The Yeshiva prepared me for the world in the way I needed at that time and I'm very grateful.

Advice for current students:

Whatever path you take, the friends that you make in high school will be connections that you can keep for a long time both personally and professionally.
